Materials
- 1 kg mature apricot
- 800 gr powdered sugar
- Half lemon juice
- (According to desire) a few cloves or cinnamon cinnamon
Construction
- Wash the apricots, divide them in half and remove the seeds.
- Place apricots in a large pot, sprinkle the sugar evenly. Cover and leave for 4–5 hours (preferably 1 night). At the end of this period, apricots will release their juice.
- Leave the jam to boil over medium heat. After boiling, cook over low heat, stirring in order to avoid overflowing.
- During cooking, remove the foams on the surface with a spoon. This process makes the jam more clear.
- Drop it on a plate to see if the jam is available; If its fluidity is intense, boil for a few more minutes.
- Add the lemon juice close to cooking and boil for another 5 minutes. Those who want to add cloves or cinnamon for the aroma.
- Fill the hot jam into glass jars, close the lid tightly. Turn the jars upside down and allow to cool.
